Patient Reviews

Every pediatric office my family has ever been to has completed the school physical paperwork during the annual exam. I was shocked today when I was told that my daughter could either have the school physical paperwork completed or her annual exam. One World Pediatrics no longer completes the school physical paperwork while completing an annual exam for patients with private insurance, so that they can double bill. (Apparently, if we were on Medicaid, we could have had both completed today and submitted under the same claim.) They submitted one claim for the school annual exam paperwork today and asked us to return another day, so they can submit a separate claim for the portion of the 'annual exam' that includes the lab work and immunizations. They wouldn't even tell me if my daughter needed any immunizations, so I could assess how urgently she needs to return for 'part two' of her annual exam. I consider that double dipping. How much money do you all need at my expense? And for your information, I checked her school physical paperwork from last year, and the same exact practitioner completed it on the same date as her annual physical, which you already knew because you have a copy in your medical record, don't ya?

This is been my kids doctor for more than 10 years, but I think is time to change, they are not what they use to be,I bring my son on Monday very ill and express my concerns to the doctor, first they do not have Covid test in the office then they offer to give me a test because I insisted that need to be sent out with the promise of results the next day, they didn’t call me the next day, so I call they said results still not there I give them one more day, no results yet then they proceed to tell me my son’s specimen was still at the office because someone forgot to pick them up , they said still good so we are sending the sample right now ,Wich I get real upset, meanwhile all my family start to get sick and my son the one with the test keep getting sicker and sicker so I keep calling because he didn’t have no medicine at all waiting on this test, on Thursday afternoon they call and said they do not know what happens with his test and why they did not have results, they said they call the lab and no one can explain what happened and why they don’t have results, Friday morning I got enough my son at this point is really sick so I take him to the ER and he tested positive for Covid, now everything is complicated is in his lungs now and all my family is sick including my poor husband, a cancer patient. This is a clear example of neglect and poor patient care. Covid can be very serious on vulnerable patients my son is asthmatic.

Excellent Doctor, But the reason why I want to leave a review is because of her MA Mariah. She was so good and professional. She really knows how to interact with kids. I will definitely refer my friends here as long as Mariah takes care of me.

I just want to say that I love my daughter's doctor. She's very efficient, and one of the things I love about her is that she listens to me and takes all her time to check on my baby and make sure everything is okay. God bless her. From the first day she touched my daughter when she was born, I was enchanted.

April has always been fantastic with our daughter. We're so happy that we are still able to see her! The staff has always been friendly, and we're happy that followed to the Apopka office.

This was hands down one of the best doctor visits we’ve ever had. I brought my kiddo in for their 11-year well visit, and from start to finish, we were met with empathy, patience, and clear, thoughtful information. Every single person in this office is kind — not just “nice.” It’s obvious they genuinely care about the kids they see and want to be there. I had my child come prepared with a list of their own questions as a way to help them learn how to interact with healthcare professionals. The doctor took the time to answer every one of those questions with care and respect. There wasn’t a hint of ego, only a clear desire to inform, empower, and connect with my child. Immunizations were handled quickly, smoothly, and with so much kindness. It was everything you hope for as a parent when taking your child to the doctor — professional, warm, and truly supportive care. The follow-up with updated records was also prompt and seamless. Excellent communication, outstanding care, and an environment where you feel supported from the moment you walk in. Couldn’t recommend them more highly.

April is phenomenal! Always listens attentively to our concerns, provides solutions and options, and follows through on care plans. We love her so much, we used to drive 40 minutes to get to her. Love the new Apopka office only 7 minutes from home!

Always listens to parents and provides different options for treatment, including those that may be easier for our child. I feel heard with my concerns and like we are partners in her health. Highly recommend her, very caring

Dr. Merrill was a breath of fresh air in the office. I didn’t feel pressure to have unnecessary tests, i.e. covid/ flu/ strep. She took the time to ask my son the questions and explained why she was performing the exam in the manner she did. Will be requesting her moving forward.
